Atlas Cedar essential oil

INCI: Cedrus atlantica bark oil
Origin: Morocco.

Cedar oil has a warm, camphor-like top note and a sweet 'sticky' woody-balsamic undertone. It is particularly popular with men in men's skincare products. It is reputed to have an aphrodisiac effect to its calming effect on the nerves and its stimulating effect on the blood circulation.
Cedar is also useful in products for skin conditions such as acne, dandruff, greasy skin, eczema and fungal infections.
It has a tradition in the East for the treatment of bronchial and urinary tract infections.
Lebanon Cedar was used by the ancient Egyptians for embalming purposes, due to its natural preservative effects.
Cedrus atlantica is native to the Atlas Mountains of Algeria and the oil is produced mainly in Morocco.

Caution: Possible sensitization in some individuals. We recommend a patch test (dilute the essential oil in a cream or carrier oil first) before using any new skincare preparation.
