Cedarwood Atlas essential oil
Cedarwood Atlas essential oil is steam-distilled from the bark of the magnificent Atlas Cedar trees native to North Africa. The oil has a warm, camphor-like top note and a sweet, woody-balsamic undertone which has calming and uplifting effects. It is also said to strengthen one's sense of self-identity and ability to interact positively with others.
Cedarwood Atlas essential oil has a long history of use in traditional medicine due to its antiseptic, astringent, anti-inflammatory, insecticide and antifungal properties. This makes it a good choice in skincare products for acne, eczema, dandruff and fungal infections.
This oil also calms inflamed mucus membranes so, in a diffuser, it is helpful for catarrh and other minor respiratory complaints.

Tip:
Cedarwood Atlas essential oil is a pleasant room fragrance. It combines well with essential oils of Bergamot, Cypress, Frankincense, Jasmine, Juniper, Myrrh, Neroli, Rosemary and Sandalwood.
How to use:
1) In a diffuser: add 2 to 4 drops to the diffuser and let diffuse for 30 to 60 minutes in the room. (Note: if you have dogs. cats or other pets, ensure they are able to freely exit the room; the scent of the oil may be too strong and unpleasant for them)
2) In a sauna: 2 to 4 drops on the hot stones per 30 minute session
3) In a bath: first dilute 5 to 20 drops Cedarwood Atlas essential oil in a dessert spoon of base oil, such as almond or jojoba, or to a bath or shower gel and mix well in a bowl. Fill the bath with hot water and then add the mixture. Before getting in the bath circulate the water thoroughly to disperse the oil.
4) For use on the skin or as a perfume or for massage: dilute the essential oil in a base oil, such as almond oil (for massage) or MCT oil or jojoba oil (for perfume). Use at a dosage of up to 1%. For example 99.5% base oil and 0.5ml (12 drops) Cedarwood Atlas essential oil.
