Dried Herb - Raspberry leaf (organic)

Latin / INCI: Rubus idaeus

A favourite in traditional western herbal medicine for helping prepare women for childbirth. Taken during the last two months of pregnancy Raspberry leaves have an effect of toning the uterine muscles and reducing muscle spasm. It also promotes production of mother's milk and helps alleviate morning sickness.

Apart from use as a tea prior to childbirth, this herb is useful as a gargle and mouth wash for mouth ulcers, sore throat, tonsillitis and as a vaginal douche for discharge and as an eye douche for conjunctivitis.
