Dried Herb - Meadowsweet (organic)

Latin / INCI: Filipendula ulmaria

Used in traditional western herbal medicine for calming an overactive digestive system, relieving the symptoms of flatulence and hyperacidity. Also has a role in the treatment of gastric ulcer, rheumatism and in thrombotic conditions.

As its English name suggests, it grows well in meadows or by any other land that floods easily. Its creamy-coloured flowers have a wonderful aroma which is retained when dried. Contains salicin and salicylic acid, flavenoids, and phenolic glycosides.
