Thyme (white) essential oil 

INCI: Thymus vulgaris oil
Steam distillation of fresh and partially dried leaves and flowering tops.

Origin: Spain

One of the oldest medicinal plants in European herbal medicine, with its main area of application in remedies for respiratory infections and some digestive complaints. Externally, thyme helps in skincare preparations for oily skin, insect bites, acne, burns and cuts and infections. It is often found as an ingredient in some natural toothpastes.

Our Thyme (white) essential oil has been selected for its mild action compared to thyme oils of the 'thymol' and 'carvacrol' chemotypes.

Caution: To be avoided by individuals with high blood pressure. Possible sensitization in some individuals. We recommend a patch test (dilute the essential oil in a cream or carrier oil first) before using any new skincare preparation. As with virtually all essential oils it should not be used neat on the skin nor be taken internally!
