Marigold (botanical name Calendula), is a real sun-lover that radiates vitality and optimism. The beautiful orange and yellow flowers are harvested fresh from our herbal garden on a sunny day and macerated in the sun to produce this deep orange therapeutic oil.

We enhance the remarkable healing powers of this oil further by adding pure essential oil of 'alpine Lavender' so called because it is grown at high altitude in Provence and in the mountains of other Mediterranean regions. This is believed to intensify the healing value of the plant, as well as its wonderful, fresh scent .

Harvesting the delightful Marigold flowers and processing them into this deeply penetrating oil is, for us, an annual feast for the senses. One of our most favourite tasks!

Both Marigold & Lavender have been known, loved and used for centuries in Europe. They are two of most versatile herbs used in western herbal medicine (WHM). Valued for their healing, soothing, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, and for promoting accelerated production of new skin tissue.

Marigold & Lavender oil can be used as massage oil and as a therapeutic oil for (sun)burns, (clean) wounds, sores , ulcers, scars, stretch marks , fissures, hives, boils, fungus, eczema, acne, pimples, rashes, abscesses, dry rash, psoriasis, bedsores, varicose veins, irritation, itching and chronic skin conditions.

In short, a versatile and deep healing skin oil that can be used with many different skin problems and to keep the skin healthy and elastic.

Also lovely as a baby oil and to sooth painful nipples as a result of breastfeeding.

This oil can also be used for rough hands and feet and for fissures. Coat the affected parts amply with the oil before going to bed and wear cotton gloves or socks. Repeat for several consecutive days and you will see improvement within a week .
