Comfrey is a common plant in the northern temperate zone of Europe, north America, Russia and Asia. Historical records show that it has been used for thousand of years as natural medicine, including the treatment of wounds and other injuries of Roman soldiers. Its Latin name Symphytum means a plant that reunites (broken) bones and skin. The English name Comfrey also derives from the Latin ''confervere'' to come together. The Dutch name Smeerwortel probably derives from the abundance of a slimy substance in this plant called allantoin. 

Our Comfrey ointment is formulated to make it easy to apply externally in a wide variety of conditions. We add pure, organic lavender oil and natural vitamin E to enhance the healing effects of the comfrey.

Applications:

Comfrey ointment is an excellent all-round herbal first aid ointment for use with sports injuries, sprains, fractures, abrasions, bruises, contusions, fissures and poorly healing (clean) wounds. Rheumatism, gout, arthritis, inflammation, acne, sores, boils, bruises, muscle pain, nerve pain and fluid retention or swelling caused by injury. Also, hemorrhoids, scars, varicose veins, rashes, sores, puffiness, psoriasis or eczema.

How to Use: 

Apply small amount to affected areas and massage gently in.  Repeat daily or as required.

Tips: 

Comfrey ointment works well with our Herbal Wonderbalm for injuries where there are, wounds, cuts or abrasions. (Ensure wounds are clean first).
