An immersive workshop to explore the magical world of essential oils

Many of us are familiar with the evocative scents of pure and natural essential oils. We use them to freshen a room, or to create a relaxing ambience. We may even add them to our home-made personal care products and perfumes.

In this one-day, immersive workshop, experienced aromatherapist Joanne Klein Wolterink of AromaWise leads us on the first steps of a magical journey. We go beyond “only scent” to reach a practical understanding of the life-enhancing and healing power of essential oils. This also gives us a deeper appreciation of the wonder of nature.

This is the second in a planned series of workshops about essential oils, but it is complete in itself.

We will spend the day learning through theory, hands-on practice and experience. What is the correct way to sense essential oils? How do we choose the right essential oils for the purpose? How can we apply them to help us meet the challenges and opportunities of modern life?

At the end of the day we will leave with a refined sense of smell, and inspiration and confidence to incorporate aromatherapy into daily life. A day full of sensory experiences that will bring you closer to the pure essence of aromatic plants and nature.

* A brief introduction to aromatherapy – the art and science of essential oils for healing body, mind and soul.

* Smart and safe use – how to dilute oils, which combinations work well, and when to be cautious.

* Nature’s fun facts – Did you know it takes 70 roses to make just one drop of rose oil?

* Hands-on experience – Create your own fragrant wellness treatment pack to take home.

* A delicious, energising vegan lunch provided by Joyfull Kitchen

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for anyone who wants to begin using, or to know more about using, essential oils in their daily life and for the benefit of their family, friends and clients, but would like to have reliable, authoritative guidance. It promises to be an inspiring and aromatic experience where you will learn a lot, laugh a lot – and smell even more!

Payment options and conditions:

This workshop is limited to 10-12 participants in order to offer an optimum learning environment. For this reason:

a) Your place can be secured only by payment. In the Options menu above you can choose to make one payment at any time or a deposit followed by the balance no later than one month before the workshop

b) Cancellation policy: Refund of the amount paid will be made if you cancel no later than one month before the workshop. We cannot give a refund if you cancel within one month of the workshop

About the teacher - Joanne Klein Wolterink

As a child, Joanne was already captivated by the scents of Mother Nature. Walking through the forest, she would touch trees, plants, and leaves, inhaling their abundance of aromas. To her, every plant has its own soul, a message carried by its scent, touching us on all levels.

After training as an Aromatherapist, Joanne ran a certified practice as a movement and massage therapist for fifteen years. With dedication, she helped her clients find and maintain balance in their lives. Her life motto is: Live from your heart, and be who you are. Essential oils are a profound source of inspiration for this. Through courses and workshops, she has introduced many people to the world of natural scents, with essential oils now playing a meaningful role in many daily lives.

Over the past ten years, she has continued to develop her expertise in essential oils, production, quality, scent psychology, and creating aroma blends. As a fragrance expert, she gives presentations. As a trainer, she provides advanced courses, masterclasses, and study trips. As a consultant, she shares her knowledge with cosmetic and aromatherapy brands. Her creative and passionate approach blends experience, information, and inspiration.

About the facilitator - Magical Naturals

You may have heard about or even participated in the popular Magical Naturals series of ‘’Make Your Own’’ natural skincare and wellness products. These were taught by Carolina IJben, founder of Magical Naturals and Blooming Naturals. After she passed away in 2021, following a 4-year struggle with cancer, the workshops were discontinued as we focused on other aspects of the business. We are now happy to facilitate this workshop by Joanne. For us it is a way to continue Carolina’s passion for teaching and empowering others, and also to respond to a growing need by people to learn different ways to connect with nature.
