Chamomile is held in high regard by herbalists for its calming effect on in almost all complaints of the digestive system. Also as a steam inhalation for hay fever and sinusitis, or added to a bath to calm children and help them sleep.

Externally, Chamomile hydrolat is wonderful for inflamed, irritated skin, as in some forms of eczema and dermatitis. Its anti-inflammatory action can also be enhanced when combined with lavender hydrolat and rose hydrolat. It is also valuable in topical preparations for acne, rosacea, urticaria and varicose ulcers.

This water is ideal for adding to a cream or lotion for nappy rash. It combines well in a base cream with Chickweed infusion for itchy skin conditions. Also with Marigold aromatic water or infusion for healing wounds and ulcers. Can also be added to lotions and base shampoo (for blonde hair) and other products.

For sensitive skin, Chamomile hydrolat can be incorporated into an aftershave balm for men, and in a facial toner or make-up remover.

Caution: do not take internally when pregnant.
