Vitamin E, nature identical

INCI: Tocopherol acetate

A synthesised form of vitamin E made by combining tocopherol with acetic acid. Added at a dosage of 0.5% to natural products it acts as an antioxidant and helps prevent the product becoming rancid. It is commonly used in the food industry for this purpose.

It is also effective as an antioxidant when in contact with the skin, but then needs to be used at a higher rate in the skincare product compared to natural vitamin E.

It is heat-sensitive and so during production of your product should be added after any use of heat (below 40 C.)

Available in 30ml glass bottle or 100ml in a PET bottle
