The deep, rich, sweet, rosy-spicy, honey-like fragrance of Rose absolute has captivated the human spirit since ancient times. Today, a synthetic version is found in nearly all of women's fragrances and nearly half of men's perfumes, according to one report.

In the Middle Ages Rose was an important medicine. It was particularly valued for its tonic effect on the liver and digestion, and for menstrual problems. Today, herbalists and other health practitioners recognise the importance of a healthy liver for healthy skin. So, through this property, rose is nourishing for all skin types, particularly mature and wrinkled skin.

On a physical level, rose tones the skin and improves dermal blood circulation and on an energetic level lifts the spirits and gives a sense of care and attention.
