Star Anise essential oil (100% pure and natural)

Star Anise essential oil has an intensely spicy-sweet, pungent, warm, licorice-like aroma due to its rich content of trans-anthenole, and a deep balsamic-woody undertone. It is derived from the evergreen tree Illicium verum, native to southeast China, Vietnam, India, and Japan. 

For use in a diffuser:

When used in a diffuser, the aroma of Star Anise essential oil is very good at masking unpleasant odours. As such itd also refreshes the senses and can be helpful to help ease the symptoms of respiratory infections such as flu and bronchitis. 

The aroma been found to be beneficial for people who experience panic attacks and suffer from anxiety. It has sedative properties and can help restore mental tranquility.

Only one or two drops placed in the diffuser can be effective. In most cases it is not necessary or safe to exceed this recommendation.

For use on skin:

When properly and safely diluted in a carrier oil (such as almond, argan or jojoba) or a base cream, Star Anise essential oil can be an helpful in:

Chest rubs, for respiratory issues such as bronchitis, coughing, and congestion

Belly rubs, for digestive issues like indigestion and cramping.

Muscle and joint massage blends, for muscle and joint discomfort, providing potential relief for conditions like rheumatism.

Important safety points:

Before using Star Anise or any essential oil on the skin, it must be diluted in a carrier oil. It is also important to know the safe levels. 

If you spill any on your skin, wash with warm water and soap immediately. Avoid direct and indirect contact to the eyes, lips, mouth and broken skin. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Avoid use of this oil (and almost all essential oils) during pregancy and breast feeding. 

This oil can cause sensitization in some individuals. We recommend a patch test (dilute the essential oil in a cream or carrier oil first) before using any new skincare preparation. As with virtually all essential oils it should not be used neat on the skin nor be taken internally!
