Lemongrass essential oil (organic)

INCI: Cymbopogon citratus / flexuosus oil
Steam distilled from the fresh and partially dried leaves.
Origin: India.

Fresh, grassy-lemony scent. Used in skin-care preparations for acne, fungal infections, pediculosis and as an insect repellent (for fleas, lice, ticks, scabies). Lemongrass also eases muscle pain, promotes blood circulation and tones slack skin and tissue.

The scent tends to have a sedative effect, easing headaches, stress and nervous exhaustion.

Lemongrass is used extensively as a fragrance component in soaps, cosmetics and perfumes and as a flavouring in many foods and beverages. It is popular in Thai cuisine.

Can also be used in our aromaburners.

Caution: Possible sensitization in some individuals. We recommend a patch test (dilute the essential oil in a cream or carrier oil first) before using any new skincare preparation. As with virtually all essential oils it should not be used neat on the skin nor be taken internally!
