INCI: Xanthan gum
A remarkable thickener and emulsifier stabiliser made from the fermentation of glucose. Commonly used in the food industry as a thickener and in toothpastes as a binder. In cosmetics we use it to thicken creams, shampoos and hair conditioners, and in the preparation of water gels, such as aloe vera, with clays.
