Dried, cut organically-grown nettles. Externally, a strong infusion (tea) makes a good shampoo rinse or can be added as an ingredient to our base shampoo or base hair conditioner.

Nettle, commonly regarded as a weed, is one of the most valuable and versatile, nourishing and therapeutic herbs in the history of herbal medicine! Used traditionally in any condition in which a detoxifying or diuretic effect and/or a replenishment of minerals is needed, or for strengthening natural resistance.

Nettle tea or soup was often made with fresh leaves picked in the spring, as it is believed by herbalists to be a great tonic after the demands of winter. Drying the leaves makes the therapeutic effects of nettle readily available at any time of the year. Herbalists often used the diuretic action of Nettles as part of their treatments for rheumatism, gout, and high blood pressure. They also believe it has a regulatory effect on the flow of breast milk, correcting excess or deficiency.
