Dried Herb - Heartsease 

Latin / INCI: Viola tricolor

A favourite of traditional western herbalists for the internal treatment of chronic skin problems, particularly those characterised by infected discharge, such as acne.

Heartsease is rich in zinc, soothing mucilage, saponins and anti-inflammatory flavonoids, making it of use for some cases of bronchitis. In Russia the tea was traditionally drank by people with a tendency to tuberculosis and scrofula.
