Our organic, cold-pressed Camellia Seed Oil (Camellia oleifera) is a lightweight, nutrient-rich plant oil ideal for  skincare formulations and daily personal care routines.

Extracted from the seeds of the Camellia oleifera tea plant native to China, it absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving a greasy residue. This makes it an excellent moisturizing base for skin and hair applications.

Camellia oil is sometimes called ''tea seed oil''  This should not be confused with Tea Tree essential oil which is unrelated and has completely different properties and uses.

What is special about Camellia Seed Oil?

• High Oleic Acid Profile: Camellia seed oil is exceptionally rich in oleic acid (Omega-9), alongside palmitic, linoleic, and stearic fatty acids. This composition provides deep hydration while helping to maintain the skin’s natural moisture barrier.

• Squalene & Antioxidant Content: It naturally contains squalene, vitamin E, and polyphenols. These compounds help protect the skin against oxidative stress and support skin firmness without clogging pores.

How to use:

• A) Formulations: 
• Skin formulations: Use at 1% to 20% in formulations.
• Facial oils & serums: 5% – 15%
• Creams, lotions & eye treatments: 5% – 10%
• Hair conditioners & deep treatments: Up to 20%
• Soaps & body washes: 3% – 10%
  
  
• B) Direct on skin and hair:
• • As a moisturizer: Press 2 to 4 drops into clean, damp skin as a lightweight daily facial oil or eye area treatment.
  • As a cleanser: Massage onto dry skin to loosen makeup and impurities, then wipe cleanly away with a warm, damp cloth.
  • For nails & cuticles: Apply a drop to cuticles and nail beds to soften dry skin and condition nails.
  • As a hair & scalp treatment: Massage into the scalp prior to shampooing, or smooth 1 to 2 drops over damp or dry hair ends to tame frizz and add shine.

Packaging options:

Our organic, cold-pressed Camellia Seed Oil is available in 100ml, 250ml, 500ml, 1 litre, and 5kg sizes.

The 100ml size comes in a brown glass bottle. The 250ml, 500ml, and 1 litre sizes are packaged in UV-resistant, brown, recyclable PET bottles. The 5kg size is supplied in an HDPE jerrycan.

All units feature a tamper-evident seal to ensure stability during transit and storage.

Precautions:

For external cosmetic use only. 

Camellia seed oil is non-comedogenic and generally well-tolerated by most skin types.

Patch Test: Apply a small drop to the inner forearm and wait 24 to 48 hours to check for redness or irritation before applying to larger areas or the face.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep container tightly closed when not in use.
