Broccoli seed oil, cold-pressed, organic

Benefits for skin and hair 

The oil is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, A, C and K and fatty acids that protect and nourish skin cells and hair follicles and regulate sebum production. This means it is useful for greasy and combination skin and for acne. It is particularly rich in omega 9 erucic acid which helps prevents dehydration of skin and hair. Broccoli seed oil is easily incorporated into recipes for moisturiser, hair oil, body oil and balms.

This wonderful oil also functions as a natural silicone, while being light and non-greasy. It is absorbed quickly by the skin and feeds the underlying cells with nourishment, hydration and revitalisation.  It is also great for coarse, textured or damaged hair as it smooths frizz and adds shine.  Try adding 1% to our Base Conditioner!

Packaging and how to use

Supplied in 100ml amber glass bottles or 250ml or 1 litre PET bottles. Also available in 5kg and 25kg HDPE jerry cans. 

Use pure: Broccoli seed oil is best used pure for dry hair. It can be used pure on face and body but it best blended with a nut oil such as almond or hazelnut, or a nut butter such as shea. For acne treatments it combines well with Helichrysum essential oil. It has a distinctive broccoli aroma which can be masked with essential oils.

Use as a cosmetic ingredient: Broccoli seed oil can be incorporated into recipes for moisturisers, dry hair treatments, and products for greasy and combination skin or for acne. It is heat stable so can be included in the fat phase or phase 1 of production of balms, creams and lotions.

Use in food: Broccoli seed oil is not suitable for use in food. Use only externally for skin and hair,
