Black cumin seeds have been used for their health-promoting effects for centuries in the middle East and Asia. This organic oil has been cold-pressed from the seeds. It is a golden yellow to golden brown oil of medium viscosity and a peppery aroma and taste. It is quickly absorbed by the skin. (If you take it internally we recommend mixing it with a good quality honey, such as Manuka, to aid its uptake by the cells of the digestive system).

Black cumin seed oil is rich in omega 6 linoleic and omega 9 oleic essential fatty acids. It has considerable anti-inflammatory activity and is said to support and strengthen the immune system.

Incorporate into face creams or balms for skin problems such as eczema and psoriasis, for mature aging skin, for skin damaged by being too dry, and for wounds. Can also be an effective ingredient of massage oil blends, cleansing facial scrubs, soothing facial masks, nail treatments and base shampoo or base conditioner.
