Aromatic Water - Tea Tree

 Aromatic water obtained from gentle steam distillation of leaves. Origin: Australia.

Tea Tree has a long history of use by the Australian aboriginal peoples who use the leaves to make a herbal tea. The essential oil has become renowned for its broad-spectrum antibiotic, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties. The aromatic water has the same effect but is milder and safer to use. It acts both directly on infectious micro-organisma and indirectly by stimulating the human immune system.

It is ideal in skincare preparations, added to our base cream or lotion for the treatment of athlete's foot, acne, boils, abscesses, cold sores, herpes, warts, infected wounds and insect bites. It can also be applied direct to infected skin.

Tea Tree aromatic water can also be added to base shampoo or conditioner, toothpastes and deodorants.It has a fresh but mild spicy-camphoraceous odour.

Tea Tree is non-toxic, non-phototoxic and non-irritating. Due to its limonene content it is possible that in excessive quantities it could cause irritation to people with sensitive skin.
