Aromatic Waters

Distillates of great therapeutic value which truly capture the essence of an aromatic plant. Such waters have been used for centuries in the folk medicine of Mediterranean countries. They are also fantastic in poultices, as lotions and inhalations or mixed into creams, clay face masks, toners, wraps, toothpastes & shampoo!

These waters, together with essential oils, are also of special value for the healing of traumatised animals. They are recommended by Karen Webb, teacher of applied zoopharmacognosy which she describes as ''the art of enabling domestic and captive animals to self-medicate effectively in environments without therapeutic plants.''.

We are proud to offer this special line of aromatic waters crafted on a small scale with great care and respect and completely free from preservatives and other additives. They are produced by hand by a slow and gentle process and retain much of the energetic as well as physical

properties of the aromatic plants. For this reason they are more expensive than hydrolats but there is no doubt in our minds that the difference is well worth paying when you want to create a luxury or extra special product or safely use them for therapeutic purposes.
