Our dried, finely-cut Peppermint herb is from organic cultivation of the Mentha piperita mint in Germany and/or Austria. After harvesting the peppermint leaves and flowering tops are dried naturally and then sieved, tested for microorganisms and packed under hygienic conditions.

Peppermint (Mentha piperita) has been used by traditional western herbalists for centuries for calming the digestive system, nausea, flatulence, colic and poor appetite. Also for nasal catarrh.

The unmistakable taste of Peppermint produces a refreshing effect and lifts the mood. Dried or fresh peppermint combines well with dried Hibiscus flowers for a cooling, refreshing drink on hot days.

How to Use Dried Peppermint Leaves:

For a refeshing tea: use 1 teaspoon dried peppermint leaves per cup of hot (not boiling) water.

For steam inhalation: A strong hot tea of fresh or dried Peppermint leaves can be used as a steam inhalation for colds, headache and mental exhaustion

(For external applications we recommend using our peppermint essential oil diluted in a vegetable oil or base massage oil for muscular cramps, sports injuries, low backache and stiffness of shoulders and joints).

Precautions:

All preparations of Peppermint (including infusion/tea, aromatic water and essential oil) are contraindicated in pregnancy, anxiety neurosis and nervous excitability.  Excessive inhalation can irritate mucus membranes and cause them to bleed.

100% natural, dried and finely-cut organic Mentha piperita (Peppermint) leaves and flowering tops

Options:

50g or 200g in sealed paper bag. Larger pack sizes are available on request.
