Product Description
Cranberry Seed Oil, cold-pressed
Experience the versatility of our Cranberry Seed Oil, cold-pressed from the seeds of Vaccinium macrocarpon. The oil is an "upcycled", zero-waste product, utilising seeds that remain after the fruit has been pressed for juice or processed for dried fruit.
You probably know that unsweetened Cranberry juice as a drink has beneficial effects on the body, particularly the urinary system. But did you know that the oil has special benefits for skin and hair?
The 1:1:1 Omega Ratio Advantage:
What distinguishes Cranberry Seed Oil from other cold-pressed seed oils is its naturally occurring, almost 1:1:1 ratio of Omega-3, Omega-6, and Omega-9 fatty acids. This optimal balance allows deep, rapid absorption into the skin and hair.and release of various protective antioxidants, carotenoids, and phytosterols. These help repair and protect damage caused by free radicals from air pollution, sunlight and UV radiation, and other factors.
Mechanically cold-pressed without heat or chemical solvents, the oil retains its natural golden-green hue, light, earthy fruity aroma, and complete nutrient profile.
Key Benefits for Skin & Hair:
Cranberry oil is classified as a ''dry oil" which means that it is non-comedogenic and absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving a greasy, sticky feel. This makes it well suited for:
• Advanced Skin Regeneration & Anti-Aging: Packed with all eight natural forms of Vitamin E (tocopherols and tocotrienols), cranberry oil is a potent free-radical scavenger. Also rich in carotenoids (the natural components that give the berries their red colour), this wonderful oil protects the skin against oxidative stressors, helps boost collagen elasticity, and noticeably smooths the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
• Superior Moisture Barrier Protection: Thanks to its rich content of phytosterols and essential fatty acids, it dramatically reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL). I while, at the same time, soothing dry, irritated, or sensitive skin (including eczema and psoriasis).
• Scalp & Hair Vitality: When applied to hair care, it deeply conditions dry, brittle strands and locks in moisture, giving hair a vibrant, natural shine. Its anti-inflammatory properties also work to calm and balance dry or flaky scalps.
How to Use:
a) As an Ingredient in natural skincare products
• Recommended usage levels:
- Facial Serums & Lip Care: 5% – 100%
- Creams & Lotions: 2% – 10%
- Hair Care & Scalp Treatments: 1% – 5%
- Soaps & Body Washes: 3% – 10%
• Formulation: In order not to lose the nutrient potency of the heat-sensitive components of the oil (the antioxidants, polyunsaturated fatty acids, and carotenoids) we recommend that this oil should be added only to phase 3 (the cooling phase) of a cream, lotion, or other emulsion.
b) Use Pure for Skin (on its own)
• Facial Oil: Apply 2–3 drops directly to clean, damp skin morning and night for an instant antioxidant glow.
c) Use Pure for Hair
• Hair Serum: Work a few drops through the ends of damp hair to reduce frizz and protect against heat styling.

Our cold-pressed, Cranberry oil is available in 100ml, 250ml, 500ml, 1 litre and 5kg units

Precautions:
For external cosmetic use only. Although non-comedogenic and generally safe for all skin types, we recommend a patch test if you have highly sensitive skin or known fruit allergies.
