Description
Siberian ginseng tincture, 100ml
Siberian ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus) is a herb native to north-eastern Asia. Used for centuries as a tonic for longevity, to improve general health and memory.
Today, Siberian ginseng is regarded as an adaptogen, a herbal food supplement that helps the body to counteract and adapt to stress. It gives wonderful support during any chronic illness, particularly where fatigue is a problem. This includes diverse conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome and burn out, Lyme disease, chronic myeloid leukaemia, chronic bronchities and other conditions including recovery from radiation therapy.
Because of its gentle action, Siberian ginseng is very suitable for these conditions. The more well-known Chinese Panax ginseng can be too strong for individuals who have been weakened by chronic conditions. Siberian ginseng can also raise low blood pressure, increase resistance to infection, reduce cholesterol in the liver and increases vitality, male fertility and a sense of wellbeing.
As such it can be used as a preventative before and during times of prolonged stress, such as performance deadlines at work or in sports, and also during times of ongoing emotional distress.
This tincture is made with the root of Siberian ginseng, harvested in the autumn when the concentration of eleutherosides – the main active constituents – is at its highest.
